Anyone using new look forum?

I tried to, but gave up a while ago, because my eyes hurt

I see MSE say " Changes to look out for in particular are the improved ticks/crosses in the Competitions boards and now being able to click through to sub boards on both mobile and desktop (similar to how the green version works)."


Are the ticks and crosses better?

I'm using it! Yesterday was the first time I'd seen it, mine didn't show up as the new version the other week when some others were affected. I changed my version at home yesterday and today at work it has automatically changed to the new one.

My main problem with it is the size of it all, far too large font and big gaps everywhere. I've not noticed much difference with the ticks and crosses.

I'm going to stick with it though, it's inevitable that it will change to this new version permanently sometime in the future so may as well get used to it now.

It was announced the other week (when almost everyone got automatically changed to the new format) that the option to revert back to the old format will still be available - and that the old version will still run whilst people are still using it.

So as long as some people still use the old format - it will still be available.... personally I hate the new format and will be sticking with the old one.

I hate the new format, i keep going back to the order version, but it keeps switching back to the new. please swtich it back to the old version...

No, I'm not going to give it a go when the nice old version is available - new one is too white, spacious and glarey.

I am using it as I suspect one day the old version will eventually be deleted. Other than the look of the site, I can't say I have noticed any drastic changes, but I have only used the new format once.

It's only because of this thread that I realised I could access the new look. It changed yesterday for about twenty minutes and then changed back again. Unless I clicked to change back by accident, but I don't think I did. I've been using the new style off and on today, and I honestly think it's fine. It will take some getting used to, because it is sooooo different, but I like that at the top there is a box for you to type in the page number you want to jump to. I don't think it's quite 'there' yet, as it's showing 0 people viewing in all the boards - which is a little unlikely, I think But I have a feeling that once people get used to it, it will be an improvement on the old style. It's clearer and gives more useful information.

It's a little 'painful' to use at the mo, because the old style was a bit like a second skin, and this is starting over, but when this feels 'normal' I honestly think it will be better.

I don't mind if I'm the only one who feels that way - LOL

I like the new version but the only reason I am back using the old version is because my avator wouldn't show! So I am a Little Miss Blank with no identity over on the other side!
