Buying prescription creams online

Hello
I usually get a prescription cream (Panoxyl) from my GP for acne treatment.
Is it safe to buy it online on Chemist Direct or eBay etc and it is allowed in the UK?
Have you ever brought prescription items online and was there any problems with it?
Thank you

Young lady in the news this morning bought diet pills on line.

Panoxyl is not a prescription only medicine, it can be bought from most chemists.0

Someone like Chemist Direct or Pharmacy2u are both UK registered chemists and will be selling the real thing so no problems there. I have bought from both of them and find them to be reliable. I would not bother with Ebay.
Panoxyl is just a benzoyl peroxide cream which is not a prescription item, it used to be available for about £4 from my local chemist over the counter, but I can only get it online now as they cant seem to get hold of it for me any more.0 -

Be sure what you're buying Op, can you be certain what is in those tablets

The OP wanted a cream rather than tablets, but still it's better to buy from a reputable supplier rather than dodgy dave on EBay.
If it is prescription only you're probably better off going to your GP, but if it is in fact available over the counter then chemist direct or amazon should be fine.
I know there's a big story in the media about someone buying diet pills online and then dying, but do remember that headline stories are just that, - stories. Headlines sell newspapers, that is their purpose. You can never know exactly what happened.0 -
Hi op, I order my benzoyl peroxide from acne.org in the US (it's all completely above board! I just never order tons in one go or would face import charges.). I found panoxyl terribly drying, but if it works for you I'm sure the online stuff is fine, maybe check reviews of the site you buy from to make sure it's all legit

Benzoyl peroxide in the form of, amongst others, panoxyl is allowed to be sold online and is a well known acne treatment.
Those "diet pills" could only be sold if stated not for human consumption I believe? But it's still best to be safe and check what you're buying!0 -
Always check the pharmacy registration details each time you buy online via the GPhC, don't click the reg number on the website just in case.0

Reputable chemists like lloyds have products with the active ingredients over the counter from the pharmacy section
