Need money from home, no mortgage

Hi, Father has had a stroke
Parents need money would like to release money from their property.

Had one through company know as In Retirement Services? R these trustworthy or could anyone recommend a company.
Been told Banks eg Barclays, but do not know where to go for the best.

    I would start with Age Concern who have factsheets on Equity Release i.e. what to look for, what to avoid.

    Look at the SHIP website (safe home equity plans) https://www.ship-ltd.org

    Make sure whoever deals with this is registered with SHIP. I can recommend the IFA who dealt with our equity release, if you PP me.
