I need some advice from you on my current family situation.
My husband has been made unemployed as job was temporary ongoing and hasn't been able to get a new one so far. I am a full time student with 7 weeks left of the course.
We have between us 5 credit cards, 1 loan, an overdraft and 4 hire purchase agreements as well as 3 mail order catalogues and 2 mobile phone contracts.
Up ×××× Creek without a paddle is politely describing our financial situation.
We are up to date with all the payments and managed whilst the income was there next month won't be the same story.
Don't know what to do now? I don't want to lose everything or be made bankrupt. Please help!

Well done for posting. You will get great advice here!!
Can you give us an indication of the level of your debt and your income when your husbands wage stops. There is always a solution0 -
We will be relying on benefits so £900 all in.
The debts are in region of 17k.0 -
As a basic response, without knowing your full details, you should write to each creditor, explain your situation, tell them you will be seeking the help of stepchange debt charity, and will be in touch with them in due course.
They will then allow you 30 days before any further action is taken, in reality much longer.
In the meantime, give stepchange a ring and decide on a course of action.
