pre-employment screening hire right

Hello
I am having pre- employment screening checks for a job I have been offered.
I am worried about my last work ref as my probation failed as I struggled with the hours it was 5 days a week and I have a toddler and childcare was difficult to arrange for everyday.
The prospective job is totally different hours and much better for me. Plus before my last employer I worked for a company for 11 years with a good reference.
Do I need to be worried about the failed probation?
I have njust advised I could not manage the hours as reason for leaving.

my husband was in a similar situation and lost his job after failing to pass his probation period ( there were a lot of factors -not just performance)
he has just started a new job - and was obviously worried that this would go against him - but he was honest and said that he had tried a different role ( manager) which was a more difficult role than he had been lead to believe and that he hadn't achieved his targets - which in part had been due to him doing his role and that of an administrator as his left the company due to stress of workload. The company was well known for expecting staff to cover eachothers roles and staff sickness, holidays- as well as completing their own heavy workload. Despite working for 60-70 hours per week hubby missed his targets.
He told his current employer this and they said it was not that relevant to the new role ( which has excellent admin support and is non managerial)
then when he was signing his contracts the current HR person made a point of telling hubby that despite his misgivings his reference from the former employer had actually been very good.
So I would simply be honest and say that you struggled with childcare- and point out that in this new role that WON'T be an issue for you and I am sure it will be Ok

Hire Right only checks whether you have worked in the said places indeed and qualifications / studies etc as far as I know. Don't think they ask previous employee about your reasons of leaving.ally.0

Thankyou
Is this still the case if applying for a bank?0 -
Thank you
Apparently failed probation is counted as a dismissal. Where as I feel dimissal means sacked. I didn't leave on bad terms just found the hours too much of a commitment with a young child.
The new job is perfect but the checks sound scary.0
