Help with Remittal of £100 fine please

Hi Folks
I have been ordered to pay a £100 fine for non-attendance as a juror but I never received the previous notifications
I wrote to the court explaining the situation but the response stated "the Judge has decided to refuse your application for a fine remittal".
No explanation, basically implying I'm a liar.
I work in the legislative Dept. of a large Public Sector Company and I wouldn't have ignored my Civic responsibility to attend but I honestly didn't receive anything.
Can't believe the Courts and Tribunals Service don't send these out Recorded.
Any idea how I appeal this folks as it seems the Judges are beyond reproach?
Thanks

As you probably know, but perhaps it is worthwhile to point out here, legal letters tend to be not more than one or two sentences and they rarely contain explanations, so I would not infer anything into the brevity of the letter you received back from the Court.
What exactly did you say in your letter to the Court. Could it be construed as, in any way disrespectful, of the Courts or even the Postal Service?0 -
I would make an appointment with the Clerk of the Court and go and talk to them to see if this decision can be reversed.0
