  • I noticed it too, it's horrible! The only thing that I found helped a little & put it back to something similar was by clicking into Bookmarks, then clicking on the clog icon on the top right hand side, then click on "list"
I hope that helps you. :)

If you want to open everything that's in one folder you can still "right click" on the folder and use the first option to "open all bookmarks"
  • I woke up to this horrible thing yesterday and used this to put it back

I am not really that tech savy but the list of things to do is simple enough and it worked.
    Hope it helps :)

I posted re this in January. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5140365

I have gone back to the old chrome version to avoid this awful bookmark system.

I am subscribed to the chrome help page re this issue and the amount of people complaining about the awful new bookmarks is incredible. Sadly it seems to be falling on deaf ears.

  • Sorry Enigmatic Me I must of missed your post back then just had a look, I don't understand why they are ignoring users comments about the new system.
I don't know whether it is just because I was not used to it but it seems that they took a step back with the user friendless of the new system, it would of taken me ages to comp if I had to use it.
Lets hope they listen to the reviews (stranger things have happened) and we don't have to get used to them/ find a new browser further down the line.

Thanks so much for that Paperwrist, I hated the new bookmark manager, it's not user friendly at all.

Since this has appeared in chrome I have also been having https:// security issues - red with a line through. Has anyone else also noticed this at all?

It's not all sites, for example Twitter is red facebook is not.

It's not the sites themselves, I ended up downloading Firefox as I was concerned. But am just using Chrome for my comping still as couldn't seem to get roboform to appear as an add-on in FF.

I'm stuck in a browser hell lately and your tip has eased the pain a bit! :rotfl:

So glad I found this thread.
    Thank you Paperwrist.
Why do they have to 'improve' things until they are unusable? grr
