If you don't give your staff the proper training then this will continue to happen.
You know, I've never had the "this is fake" said to me - perhaps am I the only person using APGs in my stores?:rotfl: (meaning that others may have stores in which other customers have been trying to use fake vouchers). If they have tried to suggest any of my vouchers have been "fake", they haven't said it directly to me!Why was the £10 odd one dodgy? cause it was over £10?
In my view vouchers are not dodgy simply because they have a glitch in their calculation. If they've come from their own system(s) they are not dodgy - they are dodgy if people have created their own, which is an absolute line no-one should cross! I'm sure it would be picked up in non-genuine shopping dates, times, etc.
I've had vouchers that haven't scanned - they've been over £10 and the reason they don't scan is because the industry standard (the barcode industry) is that they have so many digits and therefore only ever use three digits for the money-off value. As such, all vouchers of £10 or over will use "999" and can't possibly pick up the money-off value from that as it's set at 999 (£9.99). I've had one SA insist that they had a voucher of more than £10 before which did scan for them without problem. I said none of £10 or over scan, since they only use three digits in the barcode. They still insisted! They were obviously wrong! I nearly got into a muddle by initially trying to pursue my conversation, I think distracting them (I of course can't tell if they are busy trying to do something) but I just shut up. They continued to try to get the voucher to scan(:rotfl:), before, eventually, inputting its value:wall::rotfl:. Wonder why that wouldn't scan, they commented:doh:! That may be what the A guy was referring to by "teething troubles". They may have gone back to the teething troubles - did they have those? - that happened immediately after the system was changed after the 3 for 2 glitch of several Septembers ago. I think, then, initially, the system was picking up prices different to those paid instore (on non-mbuy prices) - seems it may have gone back to what it was then? Once they fix it - or if they intend to fix it (instead of just moving to new system for all) - once the N/A items start to have competitor prices again, I suspect the 'prices you pay' will appear once more.
Or should we also try a few Ambrosia to see if they have rolled the system back that far ....

Using a proxy and incognito/in-private would do it, if you get a lucky proxy IP.
Or ask for someone on here to check [STRIKE]it[/STRIKE] them#CHEEKY :cool:0 -

Try turning off your modem completely, unplugging the whole connections and then resetting. Needs a complete change of your IP address. Plug back in after a few minutes. Try it a second time if it doesn't work the first. You may, on second, third, attempt get back to old site. Depends which service provider you're with though - some internet connections are really dodgy and can never reconnect back on if you disturb the settings. You may be with a good telephone provider that connects back without real problem.0 -
