Then again I was informed earlier it's world naked gardening day tomorrowI hope all our serious green fingered folks will be taking part
:rotfl:
Don't think I'll be partaking- imagine what my treat starved chickens would be like :rotfl::rotfl:Don't think I could do this. I would hate to think what my hair would look like. I have left my hair 3 days once when I was off work and it was manky and itching like mad so I washed itI was trying to leave washing it because folk had said try washing it less .
Another thing I tried was using conditioner before shampoo. For the first time, my disgustingly fine hair was very flyaway but it settled down after a couple of daysI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Can you get anyone to supply/fit a new boiler and they will give you £250, or does it have to be who they say?
Have you had a quote from a local independent to get it fixed/did they tell you what was wrong with your boiler?
Dave my boiler is a 14-15year old Worcester wall mounted boiler and I can get a new boiler fitted and they will give me the £250 towards it irrespective of who I use.The reason it is leaking is because there is a hole in the main cast iron tank part in the boiler and is very rusty and looks like it could have been leaking for a while.I am just worried that if i get it repaired it could then lead to more probs in the future and as DDLala said will I still be insured if it gets repaired as this is something I forgot to ask.I only have 7days to deside re the repair and with the Bank holiday it's a bit tight but have 60days to apply for the £250 on proof of having a new one fitted.
Many thanks to the elite for their input into what they think Nannylala should do :)and as I have said many times before this is when I miss my DH because I would not have to be making these decisions:(0 -

Any progress on your boiler decision nanny?
Tm I am seriously thinking of going down the route of a new one.I am not in the position of getting any help as am fortunate enough to be self sufficient but not rich I might add:(and own my on house that again is only due to the fact that I lost DH:A.Being an elder I am used to putting the immersion on each morning and plugging in the electric heaters as never had the luxury of central heating and plenty of hot running water when I was first married back in the sixies:)0 -
Actually this has made me think - 90% of stuff I can tackle myself but there are some jobs (not the obvious ones) that only OH can do.
shall we make a list?
deal with rats in the garden or in the porch
work magic on the computer when things go seriously wrong
hedge cutting - hate the noise
grass strimming - hate the noise
petrol mower - hate the noise
communicate with the garage - they still talk down to women
