Had to start clearing the house out. Its ridiculous what we keep at times. I have a load for a bootsale and then all his star wars carp is getting gum treed or ebayed. They have been in the garage since we moved and thats nearly two tyears and spent 13 years in the loft before that. What does a grown man need a millenium falcon and hundreds of 3 inch figures for anyway !! :eek:0 -

Nannylala I hope things look a bit brighter this morning on the boiler front and that you are looking at getting some other quotes in
FC I hope the school talk goes well
Thanks, QoC. x0 -
Am now in a quandry as what to do re the boiler.Insurance company rang and said the report came back that my boiler due to its age etc is only worth £200 and I have 2 options
1) have it repaired which will cost £550 they will give £200 towards it me paying the rest.
2)get a new boiler and they will give me £250 towards the new one and send in someone to give me a quote for this.Or get my own quote.
I have seven days to decide and I really don't know what to do:eek: will I be throwing my money away having it repaired for it to go wrong again and after all the trouble I have had I feel half inclined to say s-d the expense and go for a new one. What does the Elite think ?
I have always found

very good for household repair quotes; you may also be able to get quotes for fitting a new boiler.'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'
