Am now in a quandry as what to do re the boiler.Insurance company rang and said the report came back that my boiler due to its age etc is only worth £200 and I have 2 options

    1) have it repaired which will cost £550 they will give £200 towards it me paying the rest.
2)get a new boiler and they will give me £250 towards the new one and send in someone to give me a quote for this.Or get my own quote.
I have seven days to decide and I really don't know what to do:eek: will I be throwing my money away having it repaired for it to go wrong again and after all the trouble I have had I feel half inclined to say s-d the expense and go for a new one. What does the Elite think ?

Nanny please get an independent quote to get your boiler repaired from a local Gas Safe plumber before you make a decision. You may find it will cost a lot less than what you have been quoted. Did you say Lala knew someone?

I'm sorry but that does seem rather extortinonate for a repair, a good plumber can repair almost any age of boiler, my plumber repaired my mum's boiler quite a few times and that was an old back boiler from the 70s and still going strong when I sold the bungalow last year. And we had a couple of repairs to our old boiler from early 80s that was still working ok until we got the grant for new one last year. The only difference is our new one is quite a bit cheaper to run.

Make a decision once you have all the information. xx

    Vs M (of all places:rotfl:).

    1 x Persil Small & Mighty Biological Colour Liquid - 4...£4.97N/A:j:j:T:D

Well, if they are going to insist on buying Persil liquids at £4.97 (usually :(), then only get any that are N/A:T.

    1 x Weetabix Golden Syrup (24x21.75g)£2.68£1.50

I should have explained this, but didn't get round to doing so. This now prompts me. This one, together with the Banana one (don't know if that works), is on £1.50. They normally go down to £2. And, whilst 10% off £1.50 may still be a bit high:rotfl:, I thought it worth remarking on - because it's a bit lower than £2 and, for that reason alone, that's why they went onto the M list.

That helped quite a bit to 'win' vs M. Along with the N/A Persil:T.

Gives me the voucher I should have got yesterday when my Chicken Style Burgers failed. Whoops-should have noticed this receipt is from 29/4/15, therefore probably technically not the current price collection.
