glenburg1's post has just reminded me of quite a funny story, my OH was talking to the local MP (at a business breakfast) and he asked where my OH lived. Having told the MP we live in X, he then told him the road, the MP said he thought that was in Y. My OH had to tell him that in all the years we have lived here we have never known whether we live in X or Y as the boundary line seems to pass through our house

    Mhoc,
Don't know if it helps but I always give my local charity shop a ring to see if they can collect my donations (rspca) they are more than happy to send their van driver around plus they can give you a time which is a lot better.

    Morning everyone!

Morning all! Friday has come around quickly hasn't it? Not complaining though :)

FC I disagree that it needs to be pink and fluffy on here. And even if it did....isn't that well....nice? Considering the rest of the world is so decidedly terrible most of the the time. Saw a picture last night from the migrant ship disaster (someone posted in on Twitter) and it was just horrifying :(

I love our glitchy corner of the Internet.

Happy Friday everyone, hope your sky is a blue as mine today x

I love pink and fluffy and also love forthright and opinions. The other day I had to turn the news off on the TV. I used to get angry, I used to rail at terrible events and spout hell and damnation on the perpetrators. Now I cry, useless really, what good does that do anyone. My heart seems to hurt more everyday. Where has our humanity gone. All I've seen this week are monsters in England ruining childrens lives, a world in chaos plunged into the dark ages in the Middle East and a world watching seemingly not spurred into action as desperate people are condemned to graves at the bottom of the sea.

    and then
I come on here, and it may seem trite but the stories and the the tales and the chickens and the dogs and the glitches and the work stories and the diet stories and the funny stories and funny pictures and funny banter they make me :) and :rotfl:

and that can never be a bad thing, especially now. So go on, keep with the pink and the fluffy, you all make my heart hurt a little less. Thank you.

I've just been watching the tweety birds in my garden.

I made up a cage round my blueberries last week and I think they are upset about it. I lashed it together with garden twine and there was 4 birds on it pulling with all their might at the twine :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The annoying thing is I now need to spend an hour out there putting garden wire round the joins, I didn't want to do that :(

I netted them last year and the blueberries still all disappeared when they were beautifully fat and ripe :(:(
