Can anyone tell me anything about let - to - buy mortgages? I wish to release some equity on my current home that I want to let so that I can move into another property

You need to ask specific questions, otherwise people would waste their time spouting information which may be completely useless.
For a start, a LTB is a variation on a BTL so you'll be looking at rental income to determine how much you can borrow.
You'll have the usual minimum income requirement in many cases and will be limited to about 75% of the value of the property, subject to the rental income calculation.I am a mortgage broker.
