hi iv started gettin threating letters from wescott for a loan i got of oakam money store please help i dont know what to do im not working due to ill health shud i offer them a few pound a month

    OK, bit more detail required,

    when did you take out the loan ?

    How much was it for ?

    How long since you paid anything towards it ?

    Wescott are a bunch of wet flannels, and can easily be dealt with.

    I was just about to say the same thing, in all my years of dealing with Wescot on a day to day basis, they're generally one of the easier to deal with. All they want is some form of payment. Draw up a financial statement, work out what you can afford to pay to your creditors and see what happens from there. In the meantime, to get them off your back send them a letter asking for 14/28 day hold on the account while you seek advice in drawing up a financial statement with a view to making offers. They're generally fine, don't panic.
