carolh, I agree it does look like a black pearl in the picture of clue3;)Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person touse the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.:D0

apart from my interpretation of the image (and I do wish more of you could see it- it's so bleeding obvious to me now that I can't see the picture as anything else - the last message for clue 8 said 'there's a black pearl hidden somewhere in the clues' get it? in the clues!0

I think it might be 3 or 81, so you may be in with a chance adrian!
Firstly I also agree pic 3 looks like an oyster and was going to guess that number but didn't.
Next people on another forum think 81 because, "black pearl" = 81 when deciphered using A=1 and Z=26 etc. And clue 3 contains a pic containing the number 81 and the phone is called 8100.
However I was thinking, because the number 81 was contained in Clue 3 maybe the answer is clue 3?
Either way I was too late, as someone posted 81 at 6.05, I didn't post my answer till 7pm!0 -

This whole comp has been a shambles! Some people received Clue 8 e-mail at 5.56 while others didn't get it for 30-40 minutes later. As the winner is determined by time factor then it wasn't a level playing field. They should put everyone into a draw and pick a winner that way under the circumstances. Anyone wanting to complain should send an e-mail to enquiries@isp.org.uk who are the Institute of Sales Promotions who ensure competitions are run fairly.0

Has there been any further news on this? Out of interest, did anybody have their answer turn blue when submitting? I sent an email of complaint to ISP. This was organised very badly. The Terms and Conditions state we can send SAE for details of winner (ha!) I think all registered entrants should have an explanation and I agree that all correct entrants should go into one prize draw, regardless of the time of their entry.0

I've sent email to them as well with 3 paragraphs full of moaning about how badly it was handled.
by the way any news on the winner of the competition...? or correct answer...?
thanks :0
