The help to buy equity loan scheme has been extended until 2020 which may help you? That's for new builds. The guarantee one that ends next year is for existing properties only

I feel the same, house prices are to high and most cheaper houses are all snapped up by the buy to let lot leaving us in a position where a house is no longer a home to live in but a money making scheme where anyone who can't raise a big deposit has to rent of someone.

Well thats impossible for me to do of course, i don't know your circumstances, skills and interest.

To make it clear i am not saying don't do the job, if thats your aim crack on and enjoy it. Theres nothing wrong with choosing a low paid job.

But if you want to achieve your goals as stated in the OP then you need to rethink. Your current career plan is highly unlikely to be able finance those plans. Just as there is nothing wrong with taking a low paid job because it is what you want, there is nothing wrong with choosing a career with higher pay either. There are many many career paths which will lead to you earning far more than your current or proposed one.

But these are big life changing decisions that only you can make.

So what sort of wage should I be looking at? Office jobs are only around £18k if that. I don't have IT or finance qualifications so I have no idea where these high wage jobs are going to come from. I'll have a degree in 2 year but probably won't improve anything.

I have looked at being in the police or continuing on to be a clinical nurse specialist or custody nurse - £26+

We don't know the future but it is likely that property prices will not go down, it is also likely that there will be a replacement for HTC so maybe it's save save save until then?
