In the uk household income is going up rapidly
household income being different from the often quoted individual incomes
which is more important, household income or individual?
Just incase people don't understand this
~500,000 households have formed
~2,000,000 jobs have been gained
thus 1.5 million households that had only 1 wage earner now have two.
on average those households would have seen their wages double.....0 -
maybe but the poster of post # 13 has refused to provide any additional detail except to say 'do your own research'.
if his view resonates with many people, maybe you might like to provide some enlightenment as he has refused to do so.
I can only give you anecdotal 'evidence' (which was my whole point, you may remember!), but in terms of food banks in the last few months I have started volunteering for a charity that provides a Sunday lunch for homeless and other disadvantaged people. I am told by peopel who have been volunteering there for far longer than me that the numbers using this have grown considerable and the implication seems to be that this is as a direct result of benefit cuts introduced by the coalition, as well as squeezed incomes for those working.
As I say, this in itself is not factual 'evidence' but many people will have seen this type of thing in their day-to-day lives and will give this more credence than any 'lies, damn lies and statistics' (as the saying goes).'I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my father. Not screaming and terrified like his passengers.' (Bob Monkhouse).
Sky? Believe in better.

Where did the dependence on benefits originate from? Giving out benefits has merely papered over the cracks. Creating a wider and wider divide. With the money created merely flowing to those that already have it.0
