City Break Ideas for Hubby's 50th

What about Bordeaux? Cheap flights there( we went last year). It's a beautiful city. Easy to get from the airport for only a couple of euro's each by bus. Lots to do and has a really laid back riverside location to stroll/hire bikes/rollerblade right into the evening. Nice restaurants/art galleries and tours to vineyards really easy to do. You could even venture out to Arcachon on the coast or the other way St Emillon/Bergerac by train for the day to see a bit of a different take on that part of France. We stayed in a really quiet location over the river that was easily walkable from ( or there are trams) and it was really reasonable (about 79 euro's a night I think including breakfast for a pretty new and clean and quiet place).Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10
Grocery challenge December : £0/240.00 NSD0 -

Interesting. Would have never considered Bordeaux for a city break. , but can see it could made a great location!
Flights from our local airport are always very reasonable. Might be one to consider for next time.:)
We have recently been to Krak!w. loved it just as much now as when we went a few years ago.
Have you decided where you are going to go OP?0
