Hi All
currently i am out of my mortgage deal with santander and im looking to remortgage and take out more money on my mortgage.
currently my mortgage is 90k and my property is work 135k, also im just paying interest at the moment and i want to get a remortgage deal. I wanted to take out 10k to 20k extra on top of my mortgage deal.
I earn 20k a year and my credit score ok but i have previously been declined by nationwide about 8 months ago since then i havent applied for any more deals as i didn't want it to affect my credit rating.
I wanted to know what is the best i can get a good remortgage deal. Im not sure whether to go through a broker or speak to the banks directly
i would appreciate if you could help
Thanks

Borrowing another 20K on top of the 90K you already owe would mean you would be asking to lend 5.5 times your salary, which is a lot.
Would you be swapping to repayment at the same time or would you want to remain on interest only?

i would be swapping to the repayment method, i don't want to continue paying interest only because it doesn't benefit me in the long term0
