Kit Kat Perfect Break £10k Win

Hi All,
Back in 2011 me and a mate bought two out of date Kit Kats for 25p in a bargain bucket at my student's union on the way to a lecture.
The wrapper had the win a perfect break promo on it so we entered the codes online (the chocolate was good but the lecture was bad!). My mate got a £10 shopping voucher (woohoo) but I won a £10k holiday because I entered my code in first! (WOOHOO)
To win a prize, the code entry was time critical NOT code critical. Because the promotion was nearing the end, no one had entered a code for a while before I entered mine, therefore it increased my chances.
After receiving an email to book my holiday - I asked for the money instead and they agreed. It has since seen me through uni with some going on a party, a car and the rest a house deposit!
Winning does happen but I reckon luck comes with knowing when to enter competitions at the right time.
