Errrrm, yes thanks for that. This was a warning to others as it is not the 'non drowsy' type as no-one posted this. I think I posted that post over a week ago though? They went in the bin and I have been fine since :D

Should have just bought non-drowsy medicine instead. Such a waste.

Didn't know until it arrived!!!!! No one said. It would be even more of a waste if I had an accident though ... :rotfl:

I had to start taking Loratadine instead of Cetrizine as I had the same issues with it making me drowsy.

You can pick up generic Loratadine for about £1 for 7 or £2.99 for 30. A lot more than this offer but I do find that they work better, and don't make you fall asleep!

    Thank you for the warning.

Does anyone know if there are their "drowsy versions" of the cetirizine medication or does it simply affect different people differently?
If it's the former then what do we look for?

I've used ceterizine for years and it doesn't make me drowsy.

As far as I can tell not everyone gets the side effects and they affect different people to different extents. All of the main antihistamines seem to include drowsiness as a side effect but I've only really felt it with Piriton (Chlorphenamine Maleate) and to a lesser extent Cetrizine hydrochloride.

Which works best for you is down to a bit of trial and error I think. I've found Loratadine to the best of the bunch for me after trying them all over the years.
