Hoping someone can help
to cut a long story short. My son missed two payments on a fine tbe debt was sold on to the marzton group.
I payed the fine. Then payed the fees all with in the time limit
Unfortunately I put in the reference number when paying the fee so they said they haven't received the payment. It resulted in me having to pay £310.
I then put a dispute in.. I have received a letter stating the the charges were correct. They have. Now added on more charges £500
A £162. Of this is due toa charge back processed by my bank. I dont even know what that means..... I did put a dispute in with the bank but the couldn't help
I do have the onbudman looking into this.
But dont no where to go now I paid everthing on time but now being charged over £900
Thanks

As Andy says, once a complaint is with the ombudsman, they will look at all aspects of your complaint, and decide the merits of your case on weather you were treated fairly or not.
That's the only remit they have, cases are decided on balance of fairness to both sides, so we can speculate as much as we like on the rights and wrongs, but attempting to "guess" the outcome would be futile.
They will be in touch with you in due course.
If they find in your favour, they have the power to force a creditor to pay back what was not rightfully there's, to pay compensation, and to put things back to the position you were in before the event happened.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
