The Bounder: The Complete Series
Network will release The Bounder: The Complete Series onto DVD on 20th August 2007. This classic ITV comedy stars Peter Bowles (Only When I Laugh) as the suave, sophisticated, absolute crook Howard Booth, who has just been released from prison having served two years for embezzlement. Unfortunately, a stint at Her Majesty’s service has done nothing to reform Howard, and he quickly upsets his brother-in-law Trevor Mountjoy (George Cole – Minder), an estate agent and upstanding member of the local community, who he promptly moves in with, together with his doting sister Mary. Trevor is horrified by the arrival of Howard, not least because he is always defeated in their comical battles of one-upmanship, but also as he is using their home to set up camp for his next crime wave.

Father Dear Father: The Complete Second Series
Comedy great Patrick Cargill finds himself very much caught up still in the gaping canyon between the two generations, his and that of his two teenage daughters!! This sitcom classic will be released by Network on the 6th August 2007 as a single disc set, RRP at £14.99. A continuing hit with viewers on its first appearance in 1969, Father Dear Father regularly topped the ITV ratings during its six year run. The first series was released by Network in January 2007. Patrick Cargill plays a divorced thriller writer, Patrick Glover, who finds himself responsible for the welfare and upbringing of his irrepressible teenage daughters Anna and Karen. The two lively dolly-birds are always up to something, and their lively exploits cause Patrick many a difficult and embarrassing moment. He’s sometimes driven almost to distraction by their constant teasing and, to him, shockingly modern outlook on love, sex and marriage. Helping Patrick keep Anna and Karen in order is the patient and much put – upon housekeeper, Nanny, but the real power in the household is the family’s splendid St. Bernard dog, H.G. Wells.

Doctor In Charge: The Complete First Series
Network is delighted to announce the release of Doctor In Charge: The Complete First Series on 13th August 2007. Based on the popular books by Richard Gordon and scripted by the likes of former Python Graham Chapman and Goodies Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie, all twenty-seven episodes originally broadcast on ITV in 1972 are contained in this four-disc set which has an RRP of £39.99. The third part of the popular Doctor series which first hit our screens in 1969 finally makes it onto DVD in its entirety. Michael Upton has fallen in love and eloped so it is up to Duncan Waring (Robin Nedwell), Paul Collier (George Layton) and !!!!!! Stuart Clark (Geoffrey Davies) to entertain us with the exploits of the doctors at Saint Swithins as they continue to attempt to charm the nurses and avoid the stolid Professor Loftus (Ernest Clark).

Bless Me, Father: The Complete Series
Network is pleased to announce the release of sitcom Bless Me, Father, starring Arthur Lowe (Dad’s Army) at his most eccentric and energetic best, in this show which was the inspiration for religious comedies like Father Ted and Vicar of Dibley. This 3-disc set is due out on the 6th August 2007, at £24.99 RRP. When a newly ordained young priest, Neil Boyd, comes to the parish of St. Jude’s, he discovers that nothing in the seminary could have prepared him for Father Duddleswell – a robust and cheerful eccentric, who has been the parish priest for many years. Neil is befuddled when Duddleswell insists that as well as the usual virtues of patience, love and charity, a parish priest must have sagacity, and both the reserve and resourcefulness of a poker player. His confusion increases when Duddleswell and his housekeeper of twenty years start hurling insults at each other
