Hi there
I got one of their offers through - 25% off the whole order, and it said to telephone or order online. Woopee. Vertbaudet is great for my son who is tall and slim so got a few things. Ordered online, and put in the code. All seemed ok.
When the order arrives the cost is the full cost, ie no discount. So phone up and complain and they say that there was no discount as I had used the wrong order number for the items
. So I wrote and complained and at the same time included a cheque for the £25 odd pounds which was how much it would of been if they had taken off the 25%.
Now I have had my next statement through. They have taken off my payment, but added on interest because I haven't paid the other 25%
 . It also says on the bottom of the statement that the outstanding money has been passed to Redcat Finance (which I believe is the holding company for a large number of catalogues). That is all the communication I have had, I have had not reply to the letter that I sent.
So should I sit tight and wait to be contacted, or should I try and phone Verbaudet or just write back again, and ask what is going on? I thought that no charges could be added to an account when it was in dispute, doesn't that include interest? I know it is not much, but it is the principle of the thing. There was no mention of which order numbers to use on the incentive paperwork!
