Worried about late card payment
The deadline for payment of a student loan is the 15th of the month. I am in a dispute with them but that's another story.
Erudio are keen to put me in arrears so they can access my CRA data.
They will not take payment by direct debit so I have got round that by making payment via a debit card. However, this month I paid by debit card on the morning of the 14th but my bank is still showing it as 'pending' today on the 15th.
Does someone on here with legal knowledge or banking expertise know what the offical date is that I have paid?
I mean, is it the date I phoned up with my card details or is it the date they clear the payment?
If it is the latter, they may claim I was in arrears while the payment was pending.

Have you asked the company you paid?0

They never give a straight answer to anything. They will probably say it's paid but then later on will claim I was in arrears because the payment had not cleared on time.0

It would be the date the payment cleared (unless they have told you otherwise that it could take longer to be credited to your account - as in the case of credit card companies).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

It is showing as pending and says: "Pending debit card transactions are transactions that have been authorised for payment but which haven’t yet been taken from your account".0 -
