northern rock timescales

at last found a buyer for one of our properties:T

found out that his lender is northern rock

would be endlessly grateful for anyone with experience of northern rock
particularly timescales on getting valuations done and mortgage offers issued
are they speedyand picky or not?

would you say they are prime or sub prime lenders?

much appreciate any advice

I'm with northern rock, currently selling and buying at the same time.

word of warning, chase them up on the survey if possible.

we were told 3 days max (but without being told who they were going to use), and a week later, the people we're buying from were phoning up wondering what was going on.

turns out we got some lame excuse about them having "wrong phone numbers" (despite all the numbers being on a printed sheet from the sellers estate agent!), and they'd just waited for us to notice something was wrong and calling up instead of sorting it out themselves. did NOT look good, and i'm still extremely annoyed as a week has been wasted on a very tight timeframe.

I found them fast. they booked the survey about 2 days after my application arrived to them (I had an AIP already). The survey was carried out the same week from memory and I had the mortgage offer the week after that. so less than 2 wks from application to offer.
