bad credit..mortgage help

Hi the count down has begun untill the CCJ finally falls off in July.
I have had late payments from over 5 years ago but are still visible on me CR. Also Payday loans last one 3 years ago.

Only this idiot(me!!) Used my credit card (£24) last week to place a bet online!!!!....why I did this I am not quite sure.
Looking back over my credit card statements over past 2 years I did also get cash advances in first year. But nothing except last week since Nov 2013.

Now I am the !!!!! thats always asking advice and sometimes getting frustrated and then I do this. I posted in the credit file room etc and alot of people said not to worry. But I do, thats what I do best. My plan is to close this particular CC in mext month or so as balance is low. And get another one when CCJ goes and start again. I know they do a full credit check so will this will show up.

I though I would ask the question here to you mortgage brokers, is this going to cause me trouble? Or will they look at it and say its once in a blue moon he does things like this?

TIA

Lenders wont ask for your credit card statements.

Thanks ACG. I really hope so. I am sure I read somewhere that cash advances and using it for gambling could effect a mortgage application badly. albeit i have only done this two or three times over 2 years. So basically what your saying is as long as its all 'upto date' lenders will be happy with that and not dig deeper?

They will see the cash withdrawal but they will not know its for gambling.

Ive never known a lender to ask for credit card statements.

Ok but is the cash withdrawals literally just being on my CR likely to cause any damage to my chances? I mean its not a regular thing but it has been done a few times.
  • I had at least 7 cash withdrawals in the last 12 months and flew through mortgage

  • If you're asked for proof of address, I'd give something other than a postal credit card statement, just to be safe! :D
