belated default

Hi,
Just noticed that my outstanding debt with santander has not been defaulted after 6 months of actually defaulting.
It is on my Experian report as over 6 late payments.
Are they just delaying putting a default on the account so they can continue to use it as a threat?
Im aware a default will on my file for 6 years from the date of default so, the sooner its on there the sooner the clock can start ticking.
(my credit file is shot anyway with other defaults)
Thx

If you think a default should have been recorded you can complain, but if only just 6 month you may be better waiting a bit until they are more arguably in the wrong.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

As above I would expect that the default will come within the enxt couple of months. If you are unhappy with the date at which they default you, you can also always complain to them firstly and then the financial ombudsman to backdate the default.By gambling we lose both our time and treasure:
