Hi can anyone advise me if you can have two separate mortgages on one property?
I have been going through a messy divorce for over 3 years, and I'd like to keep a property that's in 2 flats, to provide me with an income and investment for the future, I'm looking at ways to reduce the 123,000 mortgage to £70,000 for myself and my ex taking out 53,000 on another mortgage at the same property, due to the fact that I can't get a mortgage for the full 123,000 and he can't afford to pay me out the entitlement that I'm due..
It's all very complicated and at the end of my tether on what's best to do!

If there are two flats, why cant you split the title and solve the problem?I am a Mortgage Broker
