I'm bringing my 5yo to Disney on ice at the Odyssey on Wednesday afternoon and want a little bit of advice about time to allow for parking please? ( Never been there to a show before) The website says to be early to allow for parking on the "first come..." basis. How early is early? I really don't want to disappoint my LO by being late. Any help gratefully received!!! Thanks a million.
I love straight forward people, makes life ten times easier.

if you can park somewhere in town and walk there is my advice, be quicker heading home afterwards as well as you wont have to wait trying to get out of the car park againmortui non mordent0

Probably the easiest place to park would be the multi-storey at Laganside bus centre and then walk across the footbridge from there.0

The traffic is generally horrendous when Disney on Ice is in town. It often stops as far back as the Westlink so I'd definitely allow significant time to get there if you're driving all the way to the Odyssey. Depending on the stamina of your children, it may be better to park in town and walk over the bridge to the Odyssey.
The other thing to be aware of is the excessive marketing of exorbitantly priced branded tat at kids once they arrive in the Odyssey. Maybe bring your own snacks and be prepared to spend at least £15 if you want a programme or any type of memento. I brought my niece a few years back and paid £16 for some candyfloss wrapped in a foam headband! They were also selling small plastic tubs of chocolate coated marshmallows and fruit for £8.0 -

If they see you carring food/drinks in chances are they'll take them off you. Have even seen them hunt through womens bags and remove sweets/crisps!0 -
Yikes! Didn't see any of that when I was there and quite a few people (including ourselves) had snacks with them in their bags and were openly eating these before the performance and during the interval with no issues. The only times I've ever had a bag searched at the Odyssey in going into gigs where they're looking for alcohol.0
