I currently pay for gym membership with our local council. It's £10.99pm because I'm on ESA as they have a special tariff for people on certain benefits. I struggle to exercise 'properly' without a gym as I find I can't stay motivated at home.

I also pay for an allotment which as well as helping with food/therapy etc, is good exercise and that's £30 a year.

I have tried running before but don't get on with it.

It's worth considering that you can get gym/swimming referrals from GPs for a certain period which can get you free or reduced price membership.

Agree with the others to go for it, but you may be able to find a cheaper way of doing it so would be worth checking :)

My peak-membership at DW Sports is £38 per month for unlimited use of the gym/pool etc and I do benefit greatly from it.
