Halifax and mining report

Options
Hi,

We are in a genuine rush to complete on our sale & purchase. The only thing holding it up now is Halifax to look at a mining report and give authority to proceed for our buyers mortgage.

This should be a formality as shaft is within 20m but more than 5m away from our house, 3 houses away i believe.

Does anyone know what sort of timescale this is likely to take?

Thanks in advance

    It's not a lender decision.

The mining report will be forwarded to the surveyor who carried out the valuation to establish if the adverse report has any impact on the valuation.

You can expect this to take four or five working days, depending on surveyor workload.
