toilet dripping from cistern into pan

I have an indusa brand toilet. There is a fairly constant dripping of water from the cistern into the pan. It is getting worse and I need to fix. If anyone can advise what part I need I would be grateful.
I found this link to a picture of parts: http://www.toiletspares.co.uk/prod_desc_ts262.html?sno=298
but I don't know what each is called and which need replacing. I also don't know what type of indusa toilet I have.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

The cistern is probably overflowing into the pan. Can you adjust the float so the cistern doesn't hold so much water when it refills. If you flush the toilet and watch it refill you should see what needs adjusting. All you'll need is a screwdriver.0

So either it has an internal overflow (good thing imho) and the float valve is not quite closing the flow entirely or possibly there is a problem with the flush seal (much less likely). There may be a screw adjuster on the float arm to make it cut off at a lower level and more likely shut off completely before it overflows or with a metal arm you can bend it down so that it cuts off sooner. However if the inlet valve still leaks even when the float arm is exerting maximum pressure then you will have to replace the inlet valve.I think....0

Yes it is an internal overflow.
The float arm isn't cutting off the flow completely, because even when I raise it, it overflows after a while.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Sounds like the washer on the inlet (ball c-o-c-k) valve has failed."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Any idea which part that would be on the link in my first post?
Or should I just order the lot for £55 and change everything?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The washer will be at the top of the inlet - the bit on the right. Turn off the water (look under the toilet for a service valve) and remove the washer. Then go to B&Q / plumbers merchants and get a replacement. I'd be surprised if you spend more than £2.0

if you don't wanna change the washer just replace your fillvalve with thisI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Apparently we have plumbing cover with British Gas:o, I may as well call them out, though they say they don't have non standard parts.

Sorted.
Called BG, who subcontract out to Dynorod.
The inlet valve was completely stuck in the cistern and the guy had to take the whole cistern off and cut it out. Said he had never had one so firmly stuck before.
Anyway, he replaced the rubber washer (that was completely misshapen) and some other parts of the fill valve/ ball c@ck)
Glad I didn't attempt myself.
Thanks for all the input, it meant I could direct the guy to the problem easily.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
