CIS endowment

i have a 25 year cis low cost endowment which has 4 and a half years to run.
in April cis announced that a 25yr policy returned just over £30,000 based on £50 per month.


I keep on getting RED letters from them saying it won't be enough to pay out £just under £40,000


I pay £70 per month so surely using recent figures it should pay around £42,000 if things don't change drastically in next 4 years.


Any advice most welcome

It doesnt work that way.

The four years extra at the start of the example you dont have on yours. you will have four extra years at the end that the example wont have.

Your target growth rate could be different to the example (which may have used their default but your plan could be on some different figure).

You may be in a different fund to the one in the example.
