Extra money ideas

Hi I have about one hundred pounds until payday and forty pounds needs to come out for a holiday club and twenty five for a broken mobile. I get twenty pounds cb each week and I have two weeks to go. Our fridge is stocked full and my mum said she'd lend me twenty pounds. I am awful at budgeting and my m/h isn't great if I am honest and my motivation goes out the window. I have a fifty seven pound mobile bill due to vson running up data costs (yes I know it was stupid). No credit broker will lend to me and mum n dad can't. I just wondered if you had any ideas to make a few extra quid? Am selling on eBay and Amazon and doing surveys and done the selling gold stuff but I just need the phone for work. I have made seven pounds on a book so should help. I am just dwelling on it and worrying constantly.

As well as looking at making extra cash have you looked at where you can save extra cash?

Make a list of everything you spend money on and see where you can start cutting back. Even things as simple as walking or bike riding somewhere instead of driving to save fuel costs. Not having as many nights out or spending less when you do.

If motivation is a problem then find something you want and make it your goal to be able to save up enough to get there. Just make sure you can't spend that cash on unimportant things inbetween (so if needed give your bank card to your parents for safe keeping, for example). It's always great when you know the cash is starting to build up and it might motivate you to try and get it even higher.

For other ways of making cash, there are many suggestions on here. Have a look through some of the other threads.

I agree with Flyonthewall, sometimes it is easier to shave your outgoings rather than try and find a few pounds in earnings. I would also suggest you have a good wander round all the boards here on MSE and maybe get some tips on how to budget, how to make your money go further and even some meal ideas to save money.

As for extra income, if you are already dong ebay/Amazon and surveys then perhaps look at outside the home work? An evening job or something?

You are doing most of it - the problem with surveys etc is that they aren't instant payments. Most of them have thresholds for payouts and to reach them you need couple of days at least then wait for the pay come through.

Try to cut your outgoings first and pay your debt. Going forward, be more careful and watch your data.
