Hi, does anyone know when the Halifax/Lloyds house price index will be updated to give 2015 Q1 figures?

We'd like to borrow more for some renovations but the present LTV is marginal - mortgage advisor advised we could overpay the £150 or so shortfall to borrow the minimum amount which seemed a little silly! That was with the 2014 Q4 index price. We've done a fair bit of work on the house so the true value (and recent similar sold prices) is probably quite a bit more than the index price but would rather not go down the route of getting a valuer out etc.

Halifax, hence the Halifax/Lloyds index (I believe they will use this, they used it when our previous 2-year fixed rate ended and it was the value that gave the £150 shortfall).

I would imagine that they already have the data internally and use it on a monthly basis. The fact that it's not released publicly until a later date has no bearing.

I hadn't thought of that, but doing a few sums the valuation they used was the same as the 2014 Q4 index which would mean that if they have an internal monthly index it hasn't changed since then.

A little background is that we bought the house in 2011 Q4 for £125 000. It is in the South West region and we owe £102 639 on it, therefore to borrow the minimum of £10 000 it must be worth at least £140 799.

January\February are traditionally quiet times of the year.

I made enquiries in the local branch today and they had a value of over 146 000 so I'm guessing this is the 2015 Q1 index which hasn't been published on their website yet, as it seems too much of a jump from the 141 000 I was given a few weeks ago to be a monthly figure. But that's just a guess...

Well it's been published today and it's what I was quoted, so they obviously work on quarterly rather than monthly figures.
