Natwest Mortgage Application Help!

Dear All,

My husband and I had our offer accepted on a house 3 weeks ago now. We are using a fabulous mortgage broker to apply for our mortgage and sort out the relevant insurances etc, we are first time buyers.

I am self employed so I have to supply the bank with SA302s. As the tax year has just ended, I submitted my return nice and early on Monday and have requested my SA302 for 14/15. This is taking its time to come through, HMRC have told me that if they fax it through to me, the bank probably wouldn't accept it as it won't have my UTR on there...is this true? Or was the man on the end of the phone fobbing me off? I am concerned this is holding up the entire process!

Comments

  • Ps! I am aware it can take up to 72 hours fo HMRC to see my return on the system, which they can see as I called the. Again yesterday and that it can take up to 10 working days to get the form.

I'm just wondering if it would be quicker to have them fax it to me!

    Many thanks!

It's not true, banks accept faxed copies all the time.

Your broker should also have told you that Nat West now accept electronic copies downloaded from .gov.uk (provided the return has been submitted, which yours has).
