Mortgage split

My ex partner wants to remove his name from our joint mortgage now we have split. I can pay him out but will the lender allow me to take over the whole mortgage ? I can afford the payments just and my parents will be guarantors but I am not sure that I will be allowed to take the mortgage . Does any one know what may happen ? Could the building society withdraw my mortgage even without a default ?

Withdraw it, no.
Refuse to let you take it over and your partner come off it , possibly.
They will re-underwrite the case based on today's criteria. You need to speak to them.
If they will not do it there may be other lenders that will.I am a Mortgage Broker

If you cannot afford the mortgage then selling the property will be your only option to appease your ex partner.0
