Lifetime allowance protection 2006, death transfer?

In 2006, on A day, I applied for and received lifetime allowance enhanced protection for my husbands sipp, I was his 3rd party authority from start of sipp. The sipp was crystallised and the 25% taken 6 years ago, plus a yearly pension sum. I traded within the sipp and have increased the pension pot by about 70% since I vested. I am now a widow and sole nominee so the sipp will transfer to me as flexi drawdown and I will continue as previously, hopefully steadily increasing the pot for my adult children

Does anyone have knowledge as to whether the lifetime allowance enhanced protection transfers with the sipp to my own sipp. It will transfer in specie?

Trustees don't have to transfer to just the widow. They are at liberty to transfer to who they wish, within reason. So you can avoid any potential lifetime allowance issues for yourself by asking them to instead skip a generation with some of the money, passing it directly to your children.
