Halifax mortgage application - advice?

Hi there
Valuation completed and back to Halifax. They have approved it so can anyone tell me how long it generally takes now to get the offer?
Also so far on my credit file there are only soft searches from them, is that all they will do or do they tend to do more checks further down the line?
Thanks.

If you applied directly then your mortgage adviser will be the one who has to send out the mortgage offer - you should contact them.
My survey took place on a Tuesday and the mortgage offer was mailed on the Thursday, arriving in the post on the Friday.

I applied through a mortgage adviser and Halifax still sent out the mortgage offer directly to us. It took about 2 working days for our offer to be produced, from approval, and then 2 more for it to reach us in the post.0
