Credit file - issues with old debts reappearing

Hi everyone, I am cleaning up my credit file finally. For most of the creditors, I have managed to get the information removed. However there are two (Lloyds and Marbles) who have removed and then today reappeared. I have had to go back to the credit file agencies to ask them to remove it again as previously agreed and done.

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any idea why it is happening? It's bad enough trying to clean the files up without having to repeat the same exercise for no real reason. On top of that we are trying to get a car on finance and this is having a major impact as my credit score was good and is now showing as poor again due to this recent error.

Rant over - thanks for reading :)

    Hi indebtandworried,

I'm really sorry to hear about this. To clarify, have you already contacted the credit reference agencies, & are they in the process of resolving this for you? If not, could you confirm what product your file refers to i.e. credit card, bank account, loan etc?

    Thanks,

    Graeme

    Does sometimes happen.

Often it is just the banks resending their automated monthly feed that they have not done the correction on, so the original wrong info they had gets reinstated.

Complain to the banks and seek reparations for the wrong information that have put back on your report, telling them that you'll take it to the FOS if required.
