    Debt-free and Proud!
CLF - sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish :( I hope whatever has gotten you down doesn't do so for too long. And well done on your pay rise! That's great :)

astoryandasong - Seriously KonMarie is amazing, I am feeling so inspired! There's a great thread on the Old Style board about it here - have a read through the first few pages to get the idea.

pollygarter - Hello! I'm a newbie too and still stuggling with 'easy to say not so easy to do'. The trick is not to let it get you down when you slip and having faith in yourself that you can do this!

DawnW - if you are trying to use things up you can search by ingredients on BBC food website - bbc.co.uk/food- I do this all the time if I'm left with odds and ends - you will be amazed at what you can find on there (although be a bit wary of ready steady cook recipes - these can be a bit weird...)

Hope everyone is has a great weekend! 20 minutes left in work and there is nobody else in my (open plan, 40 desk) office zzzzzz

    Afternoon all,

Dawn, I found putting them together in a box with my smoothie maker really helped as I use the smoothie maker every morning so I was seeing the stuff everyday rather then it staying in the back of a cupboard getting forgotten about again :)

Polly, Welcome, its a great thread x

astoryandasong, I always get more focused on SB's when close to a payout!! Am only on about 250ish at the minute and am struggling to find any enthusiasum for it today :0

Clf - Hope you are feeling ok, great news about pay increase.

Twiggy, hope you had a good day.

Red-squirrel :T Sounds perfect to me!

Koselur, you sound very organised :)

Bob, hope you've had a good day.

This afternoon I didn't get anything else done off my list but as my delivery came we decided to go and play tennis for free in the local park, took bottle of water with us so no spends. Came home and the kids have had the slow cooked chicken casserole and an icecream and I had one of my muffins. what a nice way to end their Easter break :) Feeling blessed xxx

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

Ziggy - Thanks for starting us off. Hope your Mum is back safe now? Have a good weekend.

It was indeed a good day thank you Hannah thank goodness. Have now closed the gap on what I need by next wednesday to £160. Which is very doable, if things stay normal. So, lets not hold our breaths, but with everyone back to work and school I feel a lot happier.

CLF - Sorry to hear that, do you want to say why or not?

Foxgloves- Hope your gas bill wont be of the smelly variety. Well done for reconcilling your budget etc.

Twiggy - nice wombling there :)

Dawn - Hows your OH now?

Koselur - Well done on all your efforts there. Sounds very positive.

Red Squirrel - What else are parents for right :)

Astory - Well done you! I use Netflix for just £6 a month. Its ace.

Polly - Well done on your great start. The small things really do add up.

And, hoping I havent missed anyone out?

So stuff & ting from today

    1) £5 in the old Tips Jar, not bad, clearly the sun is making people generous again :)
    2) Found 22p
    3) Reconcilled both sets of banking tonight
    4) Mr Ts charged me full price for some bargain blue cheese, so I will be taking it back tommorow, well the box anyway, & getting the odd back, its only 20p but its MY 20p not theirs :)
    5) Have a Toys R Us reciept that I need to call their hot line and have the points added on, will do tommorow
    6) Went through a load of Maccers coupons that may have had money to win on them, none of them did, but we do have a free coffee & a donut to claim so have now put that back in my purse
    7) Walked & cycled all journies today
    8) The washing that OH & son put out on the line was lovely & dry and smelling good when I got home tonight, will pack away later
    9) OH used up the last of some sun cream on son this morning, we are slowly getting to the end of all the ends as it were
    10) Wrote a list of all the jobs & appointments for tommorow to make sure it runs smoothly as its a bit busy. Birthday parties, all that jazz.

Right well, we cooked a roast chicken earlier that is now ready so off I go.

Glad to hear that you have had a good day Bobarella. OH is still sniffly but recovering from his man flu now. I still get a moment to moment run down of symptoms of course :rotfl:

Well, I haven't put my weird ingredients in a box yet, but I did pull out a packet of Ikea's cream sauce, and use that for the fish pie I made for dinner :T It has been in the larder for ages, and I don't even know where it came from - I have only ever been to Ikea once! There is still another one of those lurking, but it seems to stand in for 'proper' HM white sauce ok so will get used up that way. It looked a slightly odd colour to me, but OH didn't seem to notice it was any different from normal. I won't be rushing back to Ikea for a second visit to buy more though lol!

Did the tip run, and was held up for ages in a long queue as a skip lorry seemed to be stuck in the entrance  Got there in the end though. I managed to tidy the garden a bit, but still more junk needs to go. I have some terracotta pots in an awkward size that can go to the sales unit tomorrow, and an old plastic dustbin which can be freecycled.

    Hello everyone

Missed not posting even though I've barly been away! Home from a lovley few days, bathed and in some new pjs :-D although, I may need to go make some porridge as your all making me hungry!

Been a very few spends days but money all saved up. Been to lovley Stafford upon Avon and seen shakespheres grave. Been round lots of free galleries and museums in Liverpool too.

Only thing unplanned was big spend in primark. Don't have one near by so I tend to forget how good it is. Whole summer wardrobe with shoes etc as well. Didn't spend all my budgeted money so some of it covered but the rest I will have to pull back in my budget over the next few weeks etc.

It's been so nice seeing things and ticking a few things of my do to list. Back to dfw ways tomorrow. Will have to count pennies and do budget in the morning. Not due to work tomorrow, if I offer there proberly say yes but may just take the time off to go over the house and do a few jobs before little ones come back sunday am

    Night night everyone xx

    Another late night poster here...

Today was my last day at work for nine whole days so I'm in good spirits today :)

I have lots planned, we are going to view our possible new house one day next week. My buyers have their surveyor coming round here on Tuesday morning. I was planning an ebay bonanza but, since the weather is good, I may do a boot sale next Sunday instead. I can put the seats down in my car and spend the week clearing stuff out if the house and into the car in readiness. (Yes, I checkedout the Kon Marie thread, thanks for the links,
    Kolesur!)

I have a Tesco delivery coming tomorrow and then we have to go to Argos to pick up a new keyboard for the computer downstairs as DS spilt a drink on it. We have had it next to the radiator and will try it again in the morning before splashing out on a new one. I have also reserved some of the bargainous Mega Bloks (see the grab it board) for £2.99 to put away for a Christmas present for our nephew.

Glad business has picked up, Bobarella :) and sorry you are feeling glum Carrie :( Hello to fellow new and newish people and goodnight to one and all!

Thanks, I am hoping it'll soon all be over, but we will have to see where fate takes us.
