Massive signs in store yesterday advertising the 10x on fuel - didn't spot anything about the reductions!
I tend to save up my points anyway and use as many as I can on things like their double-up events (and only then on items I want and which are already cheap!) At the end of the day, I treat it as a bonus, rather than factoring it into the price I pay.0 -
We've had plenty notice (including on these very forums) about the reduction in Nectar Points being given - - - but as long as they keep giving me 20% off my shopping  ; that's worth far more than ANY points, anywhere.
Every week since Christmas I've had alternate weeks of money off fuel and £12 off £60 shop. My current vouchers run until mid-May. :j
I rarely use the money-off-fuel vouchers, instead using the fortnightly money off shopping vouchers; perhaps that's why I keep getting them?
If you shop wisely, and I include buying what offers are suitable to your preferences in that, a very good saving can be made. :beer:0 -
Perhaps not wise of Sainsburys to halve the number of points collected when supermarkets are in customer wars! Generous fuel points for a month, but after that I shall go elsewhere as their double up promotions are only occasional and nothing like so generous as other supermarkets - ie complicated to use, short lived and rare!! Discount coupons off shopping are good but all the supermarkets are doing that anyway, I have a purse full of them.0

They are now giving till spit coupons for 5x points if spend a certain amount stated on the coupon. If you do spend that amount, you are better off this way than the double point coupon on old system.
If you spent £20 - 100 points on new scheme, 80 on the old.
But I have noticed my coupons have gone from £30 to £50 in the past month when my spending has remained the same. Why Nectar?
If you are fed up getting coupons for amounts you never spend, sign up to a new card. Use the new card and 3-4 weeks later, you will get smaller coupons which you can use.
Then contact Nectar to transfer points from old card to new one. Only will do this if both accounts are registered at the same address. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I do not shop according to what points I get. I rarely shop in Sainsbury, mostly the points come from OH getting his petrol there anyway. I shop according to price.
The only thing that might sway me is if Superdrug price is the same as Boots but Boots has double points on.
Don't get me wrong, I have all the reward cards for the shops I use, but as another poster has said, I only ever treat them as bonuses. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Getting 10 points per litre is one thing but have you checked the price? Sainsbury's Stirling petrol is £109.9 - Tesco Cumbernauld is 101.9.
Verily, Nectar giveth and Sainsbury's taketh away.0 -
Do the bonus points get added on later? Bought 24.01 litres of fuel today, but the receipt only shows 24 Nectar points. Would've expected 240 under this offer.0

Immediately. Is there a line underneath your points awarded that says "bonus points" ? If not, then time to phone nectar.
Didn't read the text and assumed that was my current balance. Never shopped in that particular Sainsbury's before, so my balance doesn't show on the receipt!0 -
Think the fuel points increase finished today0
