Issues with Cahoot on credit file cleanup

Hi everyone
I am in the process of cleaning up my credit file. I have been using Experian, Equifax and Noddle (terrible) and have also written to a few of the creditors that were included in my BR.
Several of them had incorrect dates showing, meaning that entries were still defaulted and on the wrong dates. Slowly but surely, one by one they have been removed. Apart from Cahoot.
I have written to Cahoot using the same letter template (from the sticky) and advised them of the changes i need to make. Their response states:
"We are pleased to inform you that your credit reference file will be updated to show the above bankruptcy debt as "satisfied".
Please note that your credit reference file has been updated as stated above, the information regarding the default will continue to show on your credit reference file for a period of six years from the date of default."
Firstly, does satisfied cut it, will that improve my credit file and score?
Secondly, the default date against Cahoot should be January 2009, but they have September 2009 which means that this record will currently stay on the file for 9 months longer than it should. Surely this is incorrect?
If anyone has any advice it would be most welcome - do I need to write to them again, why can't this be done over email or the phone as it takes forever!
Also should I obtain a copy of my BR file from the court (at a cost) to send to them - I have a certificate of discharge but not the original BR order (it was disposed of when we moved house)?
Sorry - lots of questions but this is so frustrating!

The original cleanup letter states that they should correct the default date, so they are just being either daft or awkward.
You can complain again now by whatever method you like, but make it plain that you will be going to the FOS and ICO if not corrected, and that time continues to run from the date of your original complaint.
copying any complaint to ceo@santander.co.uk often seems to help

Thanks fermi - so if the credit file agencies change the entry from defaulted to satisfied, will this improve my credit score? Or do I need to get the entry removed completely, i.e. will that improve it further?
I'll draft an email to the CEO now - thanks for that too

You can't get it removed completely until it drops off itself 6 years after the default.
The cleanup is all about making sure that happens at the right time.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

It has now been 6 years since the BR (Jan 15th 2009) so by rights the default date should be the same and it should have dropped off - they show a default date of Sep 9th 2009. I have emailed them and asked for this to take effect immediately.
Thank you for your help

Yes, you need to make it clear that they are at fault and that their incorrect default date is now unfairly harming your file. Tell them that you think it is appropriate that they compensate you.

Hi
I have a similar issue with Cahoot. What was the outcome of your complaint?
I have written to them, copied their CEO and COO so hoping for a positive outcome as trying to buy a house and the default should have been registered 7 years ago but weren't

Having similar problem with Santander/Cahoot on a Flexi-loan account, last payment November 2009 but default placed July 2011.
Have replied back to their refusal to alter quoting ICO guidelines.0
