Do Natwest accept adverse credit applicants ?

Hi,

Maybe someone can help?

I am a FTB and i am 23.

I am currently applying for a mortgage with NatWest (who I bank with) through a broker - My docs been registered now on their system and now waiting for an underwriter to look at the case.

I have 2 missed payments and 1 default for £100 (although for some reason it doesn't show on my equifax credit file) Has anyone been accepted to them with with adverse credit on here?

I have £40,000 deposit so im hoping they will accept it.
prob not though. :(

Natwest only checked my Equifax, but I've heard from others on here that they can check Experian.

wont they have a feed from experian anyway with your current account?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

They did a "soft" check on my Experian but both sorts of checks on Equifax. Both at DIP stage - the full application was some soft searches on Equifax. I'm not totally sure how much a soft check on Experian would reveal.

This was a few weeks ago so this is quite current.

Sorry to jump in on your thread. I am also applying with Natwest, how do you know if they have done a soft or full search?

Edited to add: Natwest have done 3 further searches since my DIP, one on 04.04.15 when i put in full application and two more today. Very nervous.
