Working Tax Credit

I run the test at benefits-calculator.turn2us.org.uk and it said that I may be entitled to Working Tax Credit of 2.7k per annum. What is this exactly and how do I claim it?

It is an in-work benefit for those on a low income.

There is basic information, including how to claim, here https://www.gov.uk/working-tax-credit/overview

Do you have a job? If so, how many hours a week do you work?

Are there any bands of income and the benefit received for each band?

You're missing the point. Working Tax Credits is only available if you work a certain numbers of hours a week, amongst other qualifiers.

A benefit that you get when you have a job, but a low income.

I don't think it works in "bands", it is dependent on your actual income.

There is a minimum number of hours you need to work before you become eligible, but it depends on your circumstances.

From last April until this April, I have been jobless without JSA, on JSA, and working.

My total income that period was about 11-12k before tax.

Am I eligible for any benefit?

    that depends....
    single or with a partner?
    under or over 25?
    disability?
    number of children?
    number of hours worked?
    household income estimated for 15/16?

Based on the amount you earned last tax year then you should be eligible>

However, if you received contribution based JSA during that time this will also be counted as income.
