Hi guys, my partner bought a car a few weeks ago from the car people, he got a loan with his bank as saved him paying an extra 4,000 using there laon which was black horse, he is very good with money and gets a decent wage, his bank never turns him down for loans as he pays them upo with no missed payments, the only problem is this loan is for 3 years and we were thinking of applying for a mortgadge in the next year or so, I told him that they are very picky now, even if you have a phone contract people can get refused, do you think we would be ok to apply still even if he has this loan with the bank, we are both using natwest, his main account is natwest and i am with barclays?
thanks :rotfl:

This is a "how much" rather than a "can I" issue.
The monthly payments will be deducted from what is considered affordable.
Enter the details in your chosen lender's online affordability calculator and see its impact on what you can borrow.I am a mortgage broker.
