Homebuyers Report

Hello
What are the pros and cons of getting the lender to do the homebuyers report on top of their valuation report. Is it better to get your own person to do the homebuyers report?
Many thanks in advance.

It doesn't make a difference who carries out the report, however it's likely to be cheaper if the lender's appointed valuer does it as you'll need to pay for a basic valuation anyway.Slummy mummy!0

Thanks for the reply.
I'm not feeling too positive at the moment for a variety of reasons
and was thinking it may be money lost if the valuation came in low. Aiming to keep the upfront costs down as much as possible. But I can see the advantages in getting done all in one. Thanks again. 0 -
If the property potentially has issues. Then worth doing. As better to find out and walk away. Than buy a money pit.0
