Hi just need some advice, my girlfriend and I have applied to halifax she said her income was 11k on the application it turns out it's only 9300. However mine was 700 more than I said plus we have 1100 child benefit is this discrepancy likely to cause is an issue? We were allowed to borrow up to 148500 but only needed 59k

It should not be enough of an issue to prevent your mortgage going through if it was going to go through anyway.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Great stuff thanks for the reply, also do you know once you pass the halifax score/full credit check at full application is that it in terms of credit checks?
Thanks0 -
No. The system re-scores the application every time a milestone is reached, such as receipt of documents, receipt of valuation etc.
Do nothing which will change your credit profile, such as apply for new credit or anything which requires a credit check between AIP and completion.I am a mortgage broker. Just to say, I am completing tomorrow (my solicitor has the mortgage funds already) and Halifa have never done a full credit check at any point. I am signed up to Experian, Equifax and Noddle and there were two soft searches done when I submitted the application but nothing since then and no full check at all.
No idea why!0 -
same with usDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
