I've never used lidl, is it any good?

    In a single word - "yes" :)

In more than a single word - Similar to Aldi, if you arent interested in normal UK branded products , but just want good food cheaper than most other places , then - they are excellent. If you want 20 choices of different baked beans , then - no it isnt for you.

Only way you are going to find out is to try them for yourself

    Half price is half price.:)
  • Better than Aldi for quality stuff like continental meats and cheese, better choice of coffee too.

Can't get a whole shop from there, but you can save a fair bit.

They still have have all that non-food crap down the middle though!

Its ribs in the North East, finally something I like!

(although still not had any 'fresh' meat yet up here this year, my local store is still trying to sell off the BBQ beef brisket from a fortnight ago...)

For quality they beat a few of the majors especially Morrisons.Just my view of course.
The range is a bit limited but they have some very good quality items including high meat content sausages. These are better than most I have had from other supermarkets & about £1 cheaper.

Yes Dl, bought the last two mushrooms at 9.30 am , and a jar of peppers. Sod to get the top off the peppers jar. Half rounded doesn't work with my special lid opener.
